PrepMD’s 8,000 square foot facility was chosen by a leading architectural design publication as a 2011 recipient of their Outstanding Design award for a Training Center.
PrepMD features the only Cardiac Device training program with a state-of-art cardiac electrophysiology laboratory replica... the PrepLab(TM) .... a facility complete with radiographic and arrhythmia simulation equipment. Device implant procedures can be faithfully reproduced, and repeated to ensure conceptual understanding of the implant procedure under varying arrhythmic conditions.
Welcome to the Programmer Bar (TM)! Here we serve up a better understanding of how different designs of cardiac device algorithms behave when treating the same type of cardiac arrhythmia. The Programmer Bar is one of a kind: no other training program has the capability of teaching comparative device functionality with the ease and completeness that this laboratory provides. The Programmer Bar also functions as a video conference room, enabling PrepMD students to benefit from real time interactive sessions from renown guest lecturers.
PrepMD’s classrooms are large, comfortable, and specially designed with high tech educational equipment to provide students with the most favorable environment in which to master the technical and clinical concepts of managing cardiac devices.
PrepMD boasts its own on-site library and resource center in which students can access multiple texts, periodicals, videos, and demo equipment designed to reinforce the didactic component of their training experience.
The PrepMD learning experience is designed to provide excellent and thorough cardiac device training and to ensure a collegial and collaborative environment. The PrepMD facility is designed to host visitors from industry and the healthcare system on a frequent basis during each training session. Our COMPASS events in which hiring managers from various cardiac device sectors speak to class members about their organizations are conducted on-site in our spacious Prep Lounge area. Managers and students each have the opportunity to meet and to socialize during these events in this setting, which enables them to easily learn more about each other in process.
